Multi-disciplinary art practice which has spanned graphic design, relational aesthetics, interactive public art installations, sculpture, print, and textiles.

Through a visual language of emergence/relief, I like to play with the transcendent thought forms that permeates our lives. These works aim not to transport the viewer elsewhere, but instead to draw these contemplations out of the mundane on which they are superimposed.

As a multi-disciplined artist, I begin with ideas, rather than a preferred medium. The work is made in which ever material I feel can most suitably articulate.

These pieces are an exploration of existential concepts, the large and looming and the subtly sublime. Camouflaging and concealing these texts gives a participatory experience to viewing the pieces. You may have to dance with the shimmering surface to decipher it, you may have to get up close. Contemplation is a slow and ever shifting act of participating in the reveal. Each piece, when viewed, contains your reflection, situating you in relation to these engulfing concepts.

I like to collect words thought by other minds, in order to point at these all-consuming ideas. The array of sources - from Shakespeare, to Madonna, to Joseph Campbell (anthropologist b.1904–1987), demonstrates our cultural preoccupation with concepts as vast as our earthly materials lives, and what lies beyond the scene that we inhabit daily.
