ORIGINAL ARTWORKS
My most recent works are split into two aesthetics. The surfaces are alive and swimming with light, one must take a moment and dance with these pieces, to decipher, to contemplate.
One leg of this journey is a bold pop-camouflage which simultaneously shouts and obscures, beneath a thick glossy coat of resin. The phrases and quotes chosen are what we may grapple with from our finite nature.
The other is a golden realm where the warm metallic glow creates depth, and words and shapes float within and through this place, a dance with the transcendent.

The surface of this piece is metallic gold leaf, on approach shapes and letters become identifiable, piquing curiosity.
The viewer must take a moment to decipher the piece by moving with its shimmering surface, allowing the legibility and resonance of the words to be revealed slowly.
This piece contains the words ‘Recognise the Eyes and Hearts that Spark the Remembrance of a Sacred Trust’.
This piece is highly textured and due to its reflective golden surface, it changes through out the day, interacting with the light in its environment.

This Horror

Fools and Kings

‘Kings and Fools, Fools and Kings’ this text swims out of a myriad of shapes whose colour inverts as it nears the proximity of the words.
Birch plywood is stained deep charcoal to offset the striking colour of this piece. Resin creates a delicious glossy finish.

‘A Life of Sound and Fury Signifying Nothing’ is the text upon a stained birch plywood board, with acid yellow, burgundy, electric blue and gold leaf accenting the piece from beneath. Heavy use of black shapes camouflage the text which can be slowly extrapolated. Coated in clear glossy resin.
