The surface of these pieces is metallic gold leaf, on approach shapes and letters become identifiable, piquing curiosity.
The viewer must take a moment to decipher the piece by moving with its shimmering surface, allowing the legibility and resonance of the words to be revealed slowly.
Highly textured and due to its reflective golden surface, these pieces change through out the day interacting with the light and colours in the environment.

‘Kings and Fools, Fools and Kings’ this text swims out of a myriad of shapes whose colour inverts as it nears the proximity of the words.
Birch plywood is stained deep charcoal to offset the striking colour of this piece. A double coat of resin creates a delicious glossy finish.

‘A Life of Sound and Fury Signifying Nothing’ is the text upon a stained birch plywood board, with acid yellow, burgundy, electric blue and gold leaf accenting the piece from beneath. Heavy use of black shapes camouflage the text which can be slowly extrapolated. Coated in clear glossy resin.
